Micropac PTR-X air driven pump on reservoir
The Micropac PTR-X is an air-driven hydraulic pump unit designed for low-to-medium pressure applications up to 330 bar. Mounted directly onto the top of our catalogue reservoirs, it provides an alternative to manual hand pumps for hydrostatic testing, filling, charging, and operating hydraulic cylinders. The unit connects directly to a compressed air supply and is available in portable, fixed-mount, or mobile trolley reservoir configurations.
Who needs a Micropac PTR-X air driven hydrotest pump skid?
- Engineers, technicians, and operators looking for a compact, cost-effective hydraulic power unit that eliminates manual pumping.
- Workshop or field maintenance teams requiring hydrostatic pressure testing, filling and charging, or extended pressure holding.
- Operators running hydraulic cylinders, lifters, or actuators who require an easy “plug-and-play” pneumatic hydraulic pack.
- Users who need low-to-medium hydraulic pressures (up to 330 bar) without paying extra for ultra-high-pressure features. (If you are looking for higher pressure offerings, look at our PTR-M range, up to 1000 bar).
Why buy a Micropac PTR-X air driven hydrotest pump skid?
- Value Engineered: Designed specifically as a budget-friendly, lower-pressure entry in the Micropac PTR range, coupling the air driven pump directly to top-of-reservoir mounts.
- Complete Built-In Control: Features an integrated pneumatic regulator, pressure gauge, shut-off valve, flow restrictor, and an integral hydraulic hold/release valve for precision operation.
- Plug-and-Play Convenience: Simply connect your compressed air supply (~7 bar) to start generating hydraulic power instantly—no manual effort required.
- Versatile & Durable: Constructed with an anodised aluminium body and stainless steel components, compatible with both mineral oil and water.
- Reservoir Options: Available with portable carry-around tanks, fixed units, or 2-wheel/4-wheel trolley reservoirs ranging from 5 to 100 litres.
- UK Quality & Sustainability: Designed and manufactured in Britain using proven, serviceable Micropac components built for long-term reliability.
Description:
The Micropac PTR-X extends the Micropac PTR range as a direct-mounted, air-driven pump unit for operating pressures up to 330 bar. The assembly features an air-driven pump coupled directly to the top of standard Sarum Hydraulics catalogue reservoirs, providing a simple layout for applications not requiring higher-pressure PTR-M capability.
Plug your compressed air line into an integral pneumatic control pack comprising a pressure regulator, pressure gauge, shut-off valve, and flow restrictor valve. Hydraulic control is provided by an integral hold/release valve for pressure holding and controlled venting. The unit requires a clean, dry compressed air supply operating at approximately 7 bar (100 psi) with a flow rate exceeding 15 scfm for maximum pump speed. Construction materials include anodised aluminium alloy, stainless steel, and engineering plastics suitable for use with mineral oil or water.
