Micropac hand pumps have long been used in the hostile corrosive environments found in marine applications. The industry requires extreme corrosion resistance, an ability to use hydraulic equipment on glycols and environmentally friendly fluids, long term serviceability and high levels of engineering support. Sarum Hydraulics has a very good knowledge of achieving corrosion protection, even after long periods of inactivity. For example, some customers may use an epoxy coated Micropac Carbon Steel pump unit fitted with a 316 stainless steel piston rod and handle mechanism and with a bronze bearing. We also offer a standard range of hybrid pumps with 316 stainless and bronze in areas of maximum corrosion risk and hard anodised alloy for handle mechanisms and similar functions. This provides lightweight and cost effective solutions from standard Micropac parts. Our extensive experience is available, so contact us to discuss your application.
Our Micropac MW-3 Hand Pumps in 316 stainless steel and bronze will provide an extended service life in highly corrosive conditions. These units can be offered for sub sea applications. The same MW series pump is available in alloy as MW-A or carbon steel as MW-S.
Our Micropac MT cartridge pump has found wide application in marine environments. It provides cost effective and very compact hydraulic back up on yacht hydraulic systems. A hard anodised alloy handle mechanism option provides savings in both cost and mass. The MT has also found wide application on wind turbine hydraulics throughout the world. Again, our wide range of materials options on these pumps allows us to offer precisely what a customer requires.
Our Micropac PPS 100% 316 stainless and polymer component hand pump provides a very compact and cost effective solution for marine hydraulic systems. Displacements are offered up to 11cc/stroke and pressures to 400 bar. There are a wide range of threaded connection options plus direct Swagelok ® double ferrule stainless compression fittings.
Our Micropac PMP series hand pump offers an integrated hand pump and reservoir providing 5.8cc per double stroke to 700 bar and a 450cc reservoir capacity. Materials are anodised alloy 6082T6 and 316 stainless. A hold/release valve and a pressure relief valve can be fitted. These have been used throughout the world on merchant ships for many years in a safety critical application.
